Beer of the Month Club Reviews

Beer Club Review Summary

In general, all of these beer clubs will provide you what you want...fresh beer from microbreweries delivered to your door. The real difference comes in the price you pay, the flexibility of the memberships, and the benefits of being in that particular club.

After tallying up the results, it was quite close for a few of the clubs, but the clubs at Monthly Clubs seemed to stand above the rest. In particular, the Rare Beer Club gets our top-rating due to the exclusivity it offers on their beers; if you don't get it through the club you just can't get it.

Review:
The newest beer club to the group is the Hop-Heads Beer Club, one of the 5 beer clubs at Monthly Clubs. What sets this club apart from the others is the variety of hoppy beer styles such as IPAs, Double IPAs, Session IPAs, IPLs, Imperial IPLs, Session IPLs, hoppy Pale and Red Ales, and other well-hopped styles. The focus is not only on beers with bitter hop profiles but also beers that explore the many hop flavors and aromas available to brewers.

Although it's the new club, don't let that fool you. The Hop-Heads Beer Club is turning out to be one to the more popular clubs out there with a growing following.

Review:
This club is definitely for those wanting to experience international (non U.S.) craft beers. For over 20 years, the panel of brewmasters at Monthly Clubs has been finding those rare craft beers good enough for their club. Although you only get 2 different beers instead of 4 as in the other clubs, you get 6 of each making sure you have enough for your friends at the next tailgate party.

This is a tried and true club and you can't go wrong if you want to explore some new craft beers.

Clubs Galore Beer of the Month Club

What's Included?:
Twelve microbrewed beers from two different U.S. microbreweries. Each shipment includes four different beer styles, three bottles or cans of each style, and a Beer Blog newsletter providing tasting and profiles about the beer received.

Cost: $49.99/month (includes shipping)

Review: Clubs Galore is one of the larger craft beer of the month clubs with 57 various clubs. One of their most popular is the Beer Club. One of the benefits of this club is that you can mix and match items from the beer club with items from other clubs such as wine, cheese, ice cream, etc., to form your own unique club.

One thing I would like is more information on the web site about the previous shipments to help me decide if this is the Beer Club for me. I guess with 57 different clubs it may be hard to keep up with that much information.

One other issue I see in this club is the cost. At $49.99 per month (includes shipping), Clubs Galore is the most expensive beer club reviewed here.
